25 FPS. Please pay attention to the FPS. Using a subs file with the wrong FPS can cause the subs to drift out by ever increasing amounts as time progresses... leading to them being several minutes out of sync by the end of a 90 minute movie. I also produced a separate file which is available (here) at 23.976 FPS if you need one for a rip running at that FPS.
This is a conversion to 25FPS of the subs I produced for the MySiLU BluRay rip (which is at 23.976 FPS). I have made this file to time-sync correctly to the DVD as sold in UK. I own the DVD and the included subtitles are horrendous. These are much better.
Even so, The MySiLU blu-ray rip is a better rip in every way than the commerical DVD and definitely worth grabbing if you can find it.
By comparison, the resolution of the DVD is inferior, the image is grainy and the sound is 2 channel MONO unlike the MySiLU rip which has DTS 6 channel audio.
I'm uploading this subs file for anyone who has the DVD and is unimpressed with the built in subtitles.
Please pay attention to the FPS.
Brief note: The (paraphrased) George Bernard Shaw quote at the start of the movie exists in the original release and was cut from the UK release. I have put it back in the exact equivalent location of the original Portuguese release.
I recommend the excellent Freeware application MediaInfo which will show the FPS info as well as a lot of other useful information about any media file.
