At the beginning of the film, the girl Zhenya’s mother told her to go to the store to buy five bagels. On the way back, Zhenya reads the signs, walks along the irrigation hose and counts the crows. As a result, a certain street dog periodically eats all the bagels, and the girl gives chase. On the highway, Zhenya and the dog miss each other, and the girl ends up in the good old sorceress’s flower garden. In despair, Zhenya began to cry, but from the kind sorceress she gets a magical flower with seven multi-colored petals. By tearing off a petal, you can fulfill any of your wishes. Zhenya’s first wish was to return home with a lost bunch of bagels, and the red petal of the flower instantly fulfilled it.
At home, Zhenya puts a flower in her mother’s favorite vase, but, staring at the crows, she breaks it into pieces. Zhenya spent a green petal to restore it, and the vase, stuck together, returned to its place.
The third wish arose from the girl in the yard, where the boys were playing at the North Pole, but she was not accepted, citing the fact that girls are not taken to the North Pole. Zhenya wanted to visit the real North Pole and spent an orange petal on it. Finding herself at the aforementioned pole, the main character talks with a walrus and counts seals, but then gets scared - she was attacked by a polar bear who wanted to eat her. A snowstorm arises, and Zhenya runs away from the bear in fear, clinging to an icicle and moving from one ice floe to another. After getting lost, Zhenya uses a purple petal to trap a polar bear in a cage at the Moscow Zoo, and she returns to Moscow.
While walking around the zoo, Zhenya meets a girl with a Matilda doll and, out of envy, asks to go with her to the store for toys, but the girl is very greedy, citing the fact that Zhenya may have whooping cough. Zhenya can’t stand it, tears off a yellow petal of a flower and wishes that she had all the toys in the world. When the wish is fulfilled, the stroller with the doll leaves the owner, and the doll ends up in Zhenya’s hands. But the desire turned out to be so ridiculous that the toys fill the entire zoo and chase the girl; she uses a blue petal to request that the toys be sent back to the stores.
There is only one petal left on the wonderful flower, and the main character is wondering how to spend it. Thinking in this way, she saw the boy Vitya, who was sitting on a bench, and invited him to run. But Vitya replied that he had a bad leg and would never be able to run. And at the same moment Zhenya realized what the pink petal should be spent on. She wants Vitya to recover, and thus commits a real good deed. Vitya and Zhenya happily play tag.
At the end of the cartoon, they find themselves in the same flower garden and discover that they are lost. The main character decides to use the seven-flowered flower again, but notices that the petals of this flower have run out, and once again cries in despair. Here the old sorceress, the owner of the flower garden, again appears in front of Zhenya and tells the main character that her six wishes were useless, and therefore the six petals, contrary to the words of the spell, did not return to her. However, the main character spent the last petal usefully to help Vita, and so he returned to the old woman. She gives it to the children, after which they plant the petal in a flowerbed in her garden. Very soon a new seven-flowered flower grows out of the ground, and the children with it safely return home against the backdrop of the Moskva landscape (perhaps without the flower).
