These are the proper subtitles for a file whose torrent is named:
The first-listed English subtitles in "opensubtitles.org", numbered 3586555, named "Tell No One_BDrip_aviM1280_en.srt", are full of bad errors including many of what I would call "typos", some of which are bad enough to make the movie-playing software mess up and completely miss playing those bits (I'm using VLC). They are also signed at the end, which I personally would not do, unless I had done a good job.
The other widely-downloaded set of subtitles, listed a bit down the page on "opensubtitles.org", numbered 3439403, named "tell.noone.xvid.dvdrip.eng.srt", are pretty good, but the timing was 'way off for this digitization of the movie (see the torrent name above).
If you have an Apple, you can synch subtitles nicely with the free program SubFix - if your AVI file isn't the one shown at the top here, you can use these subs, which contain all the corrected text, and make the timing meet your AVI file's timing.FRENCH_DVDRIP__Tino2008
